>> In Memory of Yvonne Pickering

Dear supporters, Unfortunately, we have very sad news. Our dear Mrs. Yvonne Pickering suddenly
passed away on July 20th , 2005. She was on her way to the Caprivi with Mr. Solomon Asahel
Jillo to visit San communities and projects, when her car crashed.

Yvonne was our advisor and contact person at the WIMSA office in Windhoek who selected
the students ready to commence high school or university but were in need of funding.
With her expert knowledge, energy and overwhelming love she was dedicated to her work.
To help the San community, a minority in Namibia, was part of her life. Because of Yvonne's
determination and support, the San community is steadily moving forward, San children are able
to attend school and are being taught in their mother tongue. Through her work she certainly
found personal fulfilment and by introducing her successor Mr. Solomon to her work and duties,
she had a worthwhile task ahead. But she could not possibly foresee when her life would come to
an end. Her plan was to return to her home in England within the next few months. This fatal
accident stopped all her plans. Mr. Solomon suffered shock but was not seriously injured.

We will always hold Mrs. Pickering in grateful remembrance. May God give us strength to continue
with our work in accordance with the aims she strived for.
